Booking and payment
Your flight is confirmed when payment arrives. You may pay in full or a minimum deposit of 50% (card, bank transfer, crypto or account balance); either way the flight is equally confirmed. With a deposit, the balance is due up to 12 hours before departure. Inside those final 12 hours no deposit is offered and payment is for the full amount. An unpaid flight does not reserve the aircraft. Custom routes are quoted as an estimate and confirmed at a final price before payment. Date changes are free with 48h or more notice.
Flights subject to conditions
All flights are subject to weather, operational and regulatory conditions. The pilot in command has final authority over departure, route and landing. If a flight is cancelled for safety reasons it is rescheduled at no cost or refunded in full. VFR operations only, between 06:00 and 17:00 Guatemala time.
Empty leg policy — Open Return (recommended)
When you book a one-way flight, the helicopter has to return to its base. If you select "Open Return" (the recommended option, at no extra charge) you authorise FlyIn to offer that return flight to other passengers as an empty leg. If your empty leg sells, we automatically credit a percentage of the accepted price to your account balance, usable on future flights.
Empty leg policy — Exclusive Return
If you prefer the return flight to stay private, with no additional passengers, choose "Exclusive Return". There is no extra charge and no associated credit. The helicopter returns empty.
Baggage and weight
The combined weight of passengers and baggage may not exceed the operational limits of the assigned aircraft. The weight and baggage figures you declare when booking are binding. Additional charges may apply if actual weight exceeds what was declared.
Personal data
We collect the information the operation requires: name, identity document, contact details, weight, dietary needs and emergency contact. We do not sell your data. We share information with aviation authorities (DGAC) where legally required. You may request deletion of your account at any time — operational records required by regulation, such as flight manifests, are retained for as long as DGAC requires.
Shared flights
A shared flight is one aircraft filled by several people together. The seat price is the total cost of the flight divided by the seats offered, and it is fixed: it does not change after you pay. Whoever creates the flight pays for their own seat immediately, and that payment is what reserves the aircraft.
Shared flights — if the flight does not fill
Twelve hours before departure we check whether the paid seats cover the flight's operating minimum. If they do, the flight is confirmed. If they do not, we will offer the already-confirmed passengers the chance to cover the difference between them; nobody is obliged to accept. If the difference is not covered within the stated window, the flight is cancelled and the amount you paid is credited in full to your FlyIn account balance, usable on any future flight and with no expiry. By taking a seat on a shared flight you expressly accept that, in this event, the refund is as account credit and not in cash or reversed to your card. FlyIn does not operate flights below the operating minimum.
Shared flights — who you fly with
If the flight is listed on the site, people you do not know may take a seat. Every passenger goes through the same identity, weight and baggage registration as on any other flight. FlyIn reserves the right to refuse a passenger for safety reasons, weight limits or breach of these conditions, refunding their seat as account credit. Whoever creates the flight takes on no responsibility for the other passengers.
Balance not settled in time
If the balance is not settled within the window, we release the booking and credit 100% of what you paid to your FlyIn account balance, usable on any future flight and with no expiry. No penalty applies: this is not a cancellation on your part, it is us needing the aircraft back with enough notice to reassign it. The refund in this event is as account credit, not cash or a card reversal.
Cancellations
If you cancel: 100% refund with 48 hours' notice or more; 80% between 24 and 48 hours; 50% between 4 and 24 hours; no refund under 4 hours or for a no-show. These percentages are calculated on everything paid, the deposit included. They do not apply when FlyIn is the one cancelling, nor for weather or safety reasons declared by the pilot in command, where the refund is 100%.
